Back online -- for now

Hey, I apologize for being MIA for so long but the USS John F. Kennedy's Internet service went down shortly after 9 a.m. today and just now popped up again. The latest news is we are steaming a long at more than 20 knots and making good time. We are told we can expect a Saturday morning arrival in Jacksonville. My goal is to post a couple more blogs this evening before calling it a night; but that depends on Internet availability. Thanks for your patience and for continuing to read the blog.

we are very disappointed that we we will be unable to tour the JFK when it returns to Jacksonville. My husband was aboard the JFK in 1969 and made the first maiden cruise. We are from Indiana and are visiting Jacksonville. My daughter who lives in Boston tried to tour the JFK but was refused the tour as our grandson is only 4 and had to be at least 6. It seems to me they should have made special consideration to the immediate family members of those who served on the JFK. Also, my husband would have enjoyed traveling on the JFK from Jacksonville to Boston and back to Jacksonville. Why weren't those who served on the JFK sent invitations to be part of this? If they change their minds regarding tours in Jacksonville, please let me know as soon as possible.

Thank You,

Mrs. Joseph Scott Pattison
